A new project being run by a Mandurah charity has been nominated to receive donations made during an annual gathering of Christian women.
Australian Church Women was established in 1965 to unite Christian women across denominational boundaries to "promote peace, understanding and unity through faith and love", while undertaking action on behalf of women.
This year's theme is 'moving forward in faith - living a powerful life'. The host church in Mandurah will be St Damien's Catholic Church in Dawesville for the meeting on Friday, October 29 at 1pm.
Voluntary donations can be made during the meeting to go towards one special program, which this year will be a new program at local charity, WA Mums Cottage.
WA Mums Cottage will put the money towards its 2022 Kick Start your Life project, a 10-week course which aims to create adaptive and positive behaviours.
WA Mums Cottage is a resource centre for women and children suffering distress in their domestic environment. Its ethos is Christian service to those in need and has the support of local churches.
