Mandurah MP David Templeman visited with Fishability Mandurah on Friday to view a new plaque on their accessible boat.
Mr Templeman provided $8,200 to Fishability Mandurah to go towards equipment for their new purpose-built accessible boat and at its launch a few weeks ago he jokingly said he was particularly proud that the election commitment he secured paid for fit-out including the on-board toilet.
Upon visiting on Friday, Mr Templeman was humbled to see that a plaque had been installed above the toilet which reads "Dave's Dunny".
Mr Templeman said he was honoured to have the facility named after him and thanked the volunteers at Fishability Mandurah for their ongoing work in the community.
"I jokingly named the toilet 'Dave's Dunny', and I'm thrilled the magnificent Fishability crew have named it after me," Mr Templeman said.
"Thank you to the volunteers at Fishability Mandurah for their ongoing work in our community."
