Man arrested for allegedly entering WA without accurately declaring travel

A 31-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly entering WA from South Australia without declaring travel from another state, with intentions to attend the AFL grand final.

Police allege on the evening of Thursday, September 23 the man had been in Queensland two days prior to his arrival into WA and the breach investigation team commenced an investigation.

Inquiries were conducted and the man was located in Perth, where he was subsequently arrested, charged and refused bail.

The man has been charged with one count of Failed to Comply with a Direction, and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday.
