The stretch from Dower Street to the city centre is half complete with works about to finish on one side of Pinjarra Road.
From Saturday (16/9), workers will start construction on the side heading eastbound, towards the Mandurah Forum, with upgrades expected to finish by October 30.

Road users and residents are urged to take extra care during the roadworks in order to maintain safety on the roads.
Local residents and businesses will be assisted by traffic controllers while accessing their properties. Detours will be in place to minimise inconvenience.
The City has allocated $1.5m in the 2021-22 budget and a further $750,000 in the following year's budget for the upgrades, with two-thirds coming from the state government's Regional Roads Group.
The current works include road reconstruction, resealing and storm water drainage upgrades.
However it's seeking additional funding to expand the project along the length of Pinjarra Road to eventually tie into Sholl Street.
