This year, the World Wide Paint Out celebrates its 20th anniversary, with artists from all corners of the world stepping outside their studios and painting outdoors, or as the French would say, en plein air.
Mandurah's plein air reputation is well known.
Firstly by the visibly active Mandurah Plein Air Artists, who paint outdoors every Tuesday, and secondly by the highly successful Plein Air Down Under outdoor painting festival.
This annual outdoor painting festival occurs over the September long weekend and is due to kick off on Saturday, September 25.
This year's festival includes feature artists, over $8,000 in awards and prizes, multiple exhibitions and outdoor painting for all skill levels and ages.
Register to paint at pleinairdownunder.com or simply come and watch.
