Ameliorate Exhibition
September 10 - October 10
Local artist Patricia Hines works with materials that are drawn from the environment of the Darling Scarp where she lives. Visitors to Ameliorate, showing at Lost Eden Creative Gallery in Dwellingup, will give the attendees an opportunity to observe and appreciate the fragile beauty of the region that faces threats from so many sources. The gallery is open from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday to Friday and 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
R U OK? Planting Day

Landcare SJ, with the Shire of Murray, Peel-Harvey Catchment Council, Doral and Plantrite Nursery are hosting a community and corporate tree planting day and morning tea for an opportunity to get the conversation going. The planting day and morning tea event runs from 9 to 11am at Georges Brook, Pinjarra and is open to all community and businesses to attend. Local footy grand finals
September 18
Head down to Rushton Park on Saturday to see the Colts, Reserves and League grand finals. At 9.35am Halls Head and Rockingham will face off in the Colts division. The Reserves grand final between Rockingham and Pinjarra starts at 12.10pm. South Mandurah and Rockingham will be fighting for the top spot in their final at 2.35pm.

Come and try kayaking

From 10am to 12pm, the Mandurah Over 55's Kayak Club is holding a come and try day for anyone interested in learning about kayaking or joining the club. All necessary equipment will be provided at Osprey Waters Foreshore Reserve. The event will be followed by a sausage sizzle.
