Mandurah golfer, Kathryn Norris is hosting her breast cancer fundraiser at The Cut Golf Course in Dawesville on Friday.
This will be the second year the event has been held, following two fundraisers held at The Cut last year, which raised more than $25,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and WA Cancer Council's local support service, Dots Place in Greenfields.
Kathryn, who is a long standing representative of Golf WA's State Squad, was inspired to raise money after her mum Lynda Norris was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer in 2019.
"My mum's treatment saved her life and she is continuing to do well, but there are so many who don't have family or close friends who are available to help them out during and after treatments, which is why organisations such as Dots Place are so important to the community," Kathryn said.
She said she was confident this year's event would be even more successful with a full field of 130 players participating and generous support from local businesses and club members.
"I am extremely grateful to everyone who has supported this event," Kathryn said.

"There wouldn't be one without The Cut, which has given up its course for the day; the Cut staff who have worked with me to organise everything; fellow state squad players and local golf professional Braden Becker who have given up their time to help out; and so many businesses and individuals who have donated prizes and money to make it a fun and successful day."
If anyone wants to donate to cause, Kathryn can be contacted via The Cut Golf Course Pro Shop.
