"I tried Tik Tok a year ago when it first started booming, and I am not technologically savvy at all," says Danielle Carvajal, owner of Mandurah's new spiritual store Botanical H2o.
Danielle and her partner Thor moved to Secret Harbour ten months ago, and found a physical space along Mandurah Terrace for her business, which she has transformed into a modern and airy boutique.
Danielle started filming quirky, short videos about the store and their creative processes on Tik Tok, and before long, her videos started going viral.
"People started coming in and saying 'we saw you on Tik Tok' - that was when I was like... Oh my god."
Since moving to Mandurah, Danielle said she has fallen in love with the City.
"We will never leave," she laughed.
"This is our dream life - living in this area is beautiful."
Growing up with a spiritual mum, Danielle said she was around crystals from a young age and took a keen interest in learning about them.
"I've always been into crystals, my whole life - and I am quite creative. My mum is a very spiritual person as well, so I grew up around crystals."
Danielle's creativity took on many forms, from making little bracelets out of beads as a child to making macramé art in adulthood.
This is our dream life - living in this area is beautiful.
"I've always loved working with plants and macramé - so I slowly started to incorporate crystals into my work.
"It took me ages to learn how to do it properly, we make everything here in store."
After running a successful online business selling crystals, jewellery and more - Danielle thoroughly enjoyed setting up her boutique with bohemian décor, comfortable chairs and lighting for that perfect Instagram selfie.
"We had a bit of a clientele base here in Mandurah because we had been online for about four years - but the Mandurah locals have really accepted us - and we have had customers coming all the way down from Kalgoorlie, Joondalup and Margaret River doing day trips to visit us.
"We also have a lot of customers who come in not knowing us from social media, who are just walking past and decide to check it out - and they often say 'we needed something like this'."
Gaining followers daily, Danielle's Tik Tok channel has continued to get tens of thousands of views.
"I've even started making Thor do some of the voiceovers for our videos," she laughed.
"I'm really enjoying using Tik Tok to document our little journey."
