Every year Mandurah MP David Templeman brings a smile to countless faces with a song to wrap up parliament.
Now Mandurah youth parliamentarian Xanthe Turner has brought a smile to Mr Templeman's face with an ode to our city.
Ms Turner opted to sing her own rendition of Hey There Delilah by the Plain White T's for her speech at Youth Parliament this week.
"I have chosen to represent my electorate and David Templeman the best way I know how, through song," she said.
The song reflects on the beautiful place we call home but also the issues youth face in the Peel region.
"Hello there, speaker don't you worry about the distance we get tourists every summer bringing financial assistance. But for youth, unemployment's through the roof. That's just the truth," she sang.
"We need our arts degrees, David Templeman agrees but Scomo raised the fees. Farewell humanities, education should be free."

At the end of Ms Turner's song, the Youth Parliament speaker said Mr Templeman would be over the moon.
In a post to Facebook, Mr Templeman said he was proud of Ms Turner's performance.
"I'm so proud of my Youth Parliament Representative for Mandurah Xanthe Turner, who presented her speech at the Youth Parliament this week in song," he said.
"I'm so proud of her."
