A man has been charge with reckless and drunk driving relating to a incident in Mandurah's Smart Street mall on the weekend.
In the early hours of Saturday, police received reports that a white ute was driving recklessly up and down the pedestrian strip of Mandurah's Smart Street mall.
The male driver proceeded to crash the vehicle into a fence and a nearby rubbish truck and was thereafter transported to Peel Health Campus for assessment.
A police spokesperson has confirmed to the Mail that the 29-year-old Beckenham man has now been charged with one count of:
- Reckless driving
- Exceed 0.05g alcohol per 100ml of blood
- Driver fail to stop - property damage
He is due to appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court on June 23.
