Thoughts shape attitudes and attitudes fuel behaviour.
The things we think become the opinions that manifest themselves in the person we are.
If we choose to focus on the negative then we become defeatist and down-trodden.
Creativity and success are fed by positivity.
What so many people fail to realise is that the choice is theirs and theirs alone.
The past is often blamed for the present ... the present for a lack of promise and hope in the future.
The truth is that the individual has the potential to alter his or her own reality.
It's not possible to rewrite the past but it's altogether feasible to add the chapters to our own life's story that can determine its outcome.
That which appears today to be inevitable can be written out of tomorrow.
What we think next and what we do next can be the start of a new direction.
Our next breath is far more important than the one that preceded it. The same can be true of our thoughts.
But it must start with a realistic target; an achievable dream.
The quest for love and fulfilment, the desire for companionship and comfort is something we all share.
We can encourage others but it's not possible to take their journey for them.
A fresh start, a new life can begin with our very next thought. And that's exciting.
