Pinjarra director Carole Dhu's production company Primadonna Productions will celebrate its 18th birthday this year.
Last month, to kick off the club's anniversary celebrations, the youth troupe, an ensemble of 28 kids from the ages of 8-17, brought Oliver the musical to the stage in a newly released Broadway Junior version of the production.
"It [the junior version] keeps all the favourite songs in an abbreviated fashion and still manages to deal with the darker and more tragic aspects of life for those who live in the poverty stricken areas of London in early Victorian times," Ms Dhu said.
Of the 28 children on stage, six were on stage for the first time.
"Holly Creelman in the lead role of Oliver led a dedicated cast of children aged between eight and 17 who performed the musical three times in one weekend," Ms Dhu said.
Oliver was just the beginning of what will be a big year for the club's 18th anniversary, with many productions on the horizon for both their junior and adult members.
"The youth troupe's next show will be a junior version of Pirates of Penzance, and the adult contingent are currently rehearsing Spamalot," Ms Dhu said.
