It seems that young chaser West On True is set to enter Friday's final of the A1 Salvage and Hardware 'Great Western' 405m at Tabtouch Mandurah as the "dog to beat" after receiving the fastest qualifying time during his heat.
West On True entered these heats after a successful run the week before, continuing his winning streak.
West On True will be favoured to overcome a box-draw after drawing box four for this weekend's trophy decider.
The greyhound has never won from the draw in four previous attempts.
Fellow heat winner Got The Fury will jump from the prized rails alley.
Got The Fury took first place in his heat in a four-way finish with the greyhound sticking his nose out in front just in time.
The other heat winner, Bamsy's Boy, quickly took the lead and separated himself from the pack, winning the race by almost five lengths.
Bamsy's Boy will launch from box three in the final.
