The rollout of 5G across the Peel region has drawn strong objections from many locals who are concerned about potential health and safety risks.
But others are happy to see the new technology installed and had no fears about the electromagnetic fields in 5G.
According to a poll by the Mandurah Mail, 41 per cent of voters were worried about the levels of electromagnetic fields in 5G while 59 per cent had no concerns.
This poll result was reflected in the comments of the Mail's facebook post, with many readers sharing their thoughts on 5G.
"I'm a miner, what would I know. Think I'm better off leaving it to people who know more than me," one commentor wrote.
"There is no risk from non-ionising radiofrequency energy such as a 5G cellular network," another reader wrote.
While another person wrote, "I'd be moving" if 5G was installed close to their home.
Many others also made comments about how money talks. "When someone is going to make millions of dollars sure they are going to tell you it's safe."

- Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association chief executive Chris Althaus
However, many experts say the levels of electromagnetic fields emitted from 5G is safe.
Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association chief executive Chris Althaus said decades of research found no evidence of 5G causing health or safety issues.
"5G currently operates at a frequency that has been used in Australia for the last several years including by the NBN Fixed Wireless Service," he said.
"In future, 5G will operate at a higher frequency than previous networks and can carry more data.
"All current and future 5G frequencies are subject to existing health and safety standards, which contains strict limits to ensure human safety."

5G is expected to bring faster speeds, increased capacity and lower latency, ultra-reliable communications and enhanced mobile broadband to Australians.
"For consumers, this will mean quicker and more powerful mobile connections at a time when demand for mobile data is growing very rapidly," Mr Althaus said.
"5G is the natural progression of mobile generations, building on 3G and 4G's legacy, and will bring transformative benefits to all Australians and businesses enabling us to have a better-connected, more innovative, and productive future.
"5G will support advanced network performance, which is essential to drive increases in productivity and connectivity throughout our economy and society."
