A fast moving uncontrolled bushfire is threatening lives and homes in Yallingup, Quedjinup and Naturaliste while a bushfire alert has residents on edge south of Canal Rocks.
Update 9.30pm: A bushfire emergency warning is in place for people bounded by Caves Road, Vidler Road, Western Capes Drive, Duckworth Place, the coast and Yallingup Beach Road, including the Yallingup townsite, in Quedjinup, Yallingup, Naturaliste in the City of Busselton.
- You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive. There is a threat to lives and homes.
- Yallingup townsite remains under threat by fire but fire behaviour has reduced.
- The fire started near the intersection of DUCKWORTH PL in NATURALISTE.
A bushfire watch and act is in place for people bounded by Yallingup Beach Road, Caves Road, Canal Rocks Road and the coast in Yallingup in the City of Busselton.
There is a possible threat to lives and homes as a fire is approaching in the area and conditions are changing.
If you live in Dawson Drive and Wardanup Crescent you can leave in a southerly direction.
People can leave from Yallingup via Yallingup Beach Road.
To the south of that fire, a bushfire advice is in place for people south of Canal Rocks Road bounded by Caves Road to the east, Quininup Road and Tilly Road to the south and west to the coast, including people in the Injidup townsite, in parts of Yallingup and Wilyabrup.
WHAT TO DO:
- If the way is clear, leave now for a safer place.
- Do not wait and see, leaving at the last minute is deadly.
- Close all doors and windows and turn off evaporative air conditioners, but keep water running through the system if possible.
- If you cannot leave, you need to get ready to shelter in your home.
- Go to a room in your home away from the fire front and make sure you can easily escape.
- Choose a room with two exits and water such as a kitchen or laundry.
- If you are not at home, it's too dangerous to return.
- If you are in an area subject to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, put your bushfire plan into action now and continue to follow precautions to minimise spread of the virus.

Some roads may be closed.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.
