Members of the Margaret River community headed to the Rivermouth on Tuesday evening to reflect on the meaning and impact of January 26 alongside Wadandi custodians.
Wadandi man and fountain of knowledge Zac Webb spoke about the importance of standing up for country, speaking about country and connecting with the culture of the land to an enthralled group of locals and visitors as the sun set over the sand.
A generous crowd of participants joined in the smoking ceremony, cleansing themselves in smoke before moving to the ocean to leave their blessings in the water.
