The Shire of Murray's primary family and domestic violence not-for-profit is celebrating the successes of its 15-week recovery and empowerment program.
According to an evaluation conducted by Masters of Social Work student Amanda Bowen, 100 per cent of the women who took part in the evaluation reported they had remained free from the cycle of violence since commencing the Safe Woman, Safe Family program.
Safe Woman, Safe Family co-founder Tanya Langford said the program was created to support, help and empower women who have been affected by any form of violence, abuse and trauma.
"There's a lot of women out there who have been affected by trauma and they may have gotten rid of the perpetrator but they haven't healed so they are more likely to attract that same person again at some point," she said.
"This program gives them the help they need to strengthen, heal and learn to unprogram some of the negative issues they have."
The evaluation concluded that the program achieved its target goal of taking women out of the cycle of domestic violence and setting them on a path of being a safe, strong, empowered woman.
"I really didn't know how it was going to go getting through the first round," Ms Langford said.
"But the women were all amazingly changed by the end of it so I knew from the first 15 week program it was good.
"The statistics just further let me know that we are on the right track - we are ticking the box."
Now looking to expand the program, Ms Langford said the not-for-profit needed funding support.
"COVID-19 awakened for me that I can deliver this online so that is an avenue I'm looking at this year," she said.
"We are also looking at training more people so the program can be run in other centres.
"However, we are a not-for-profit and we are doing it really tough - to do a 15 week intensive program like this normally it would cost us about $800 for each woman."

A morning tea launch event is being held on January 28 at the Old Yacht Club in Halls Head to celebrate the evaluation.
