Halls Head return in hot form, Singleton remain atop ladder | Peel Cricket Association

Stringent bowling set Halls Head on the right path before a 102-run stand between Josh Rudge and Jack Manuel delivered the win, the club's fifth straight.

Ashley North gave Secret Harbour reason to believe with 34 runs after they opted to bat first, but there was little on offer after that.

Jake Wyllie led the way with the ball in hand, capturing 3/16 and bowling four maidens in his 10 overs, while Jo Slade (2/18) and Scott Martin (2/21) also had an impact.

The Dockers hung around until the 48^th over, but they had a tough time scoring as they were eventually dismissed on 112.

It took Halls Head just a click over 20 overs to achieve the required total, wit Manuel hitting a half century with 57 while Rudge notched 43.

The win keeps their side in second on the ladder, while Singleton remain atop the field following their own victory over Waroona.

It was the Irwinians' bowling attack leading them to victory in that clash, after the Warriors appeared to have kept them to an achievable total.

Mitchell Shellam (34) and Dylan Gray (31) led the Singleton batting contributions, but a three-wicket haul from Jayden Derosa helped keep the team to 179.

Waroona couldn't chase down the score, however, as both Chris Loveridge and Tim Hutchison also snared three wickets apiece to keep their rivals at bay.

One chase that was successful was that of South Mandurah's against Mandurah.

The latter was able to post an impressive 8/195 from their overs thanks to half centuries from Jordan Bell (51) and Justin Solly (57), but Rod Tregenza led the Falcons with 78 as they overcame the score to remain in the PCA's top three.

Meanwhile Warnbro received an excellent all-around performance from Dane Ugle to deny White Knights Baldivis the chance to further cement themselves in the top four.

Ugle led the Swans with 50 runs as they posted 9/141, a score they would go on to defend thanks to his 3/15 figures with the ball.

His performance delivers Warnbro their fourth win on the year.

Rounding out the action was Shoalwater Bay's victory over the still-winless Pinjarra Tigers.

Louis Unuwai snared five wickets as the Seals cleaned up Pinjarra for a score of 166, and he also led from the front with the bat top-scoring for the team with 35 as they chased down the total within 33 overs.
