A heartfelt tribute erected at Silver Sands beach is reminding dog owners to enjoy quality time with their best buds.
The quaint memorial was erected by an unknown resident in honour of their beloved dog Bruce, and takes the shape of a small wooden box filled with tennis balls that dog owners can use to play with their pooches on the beach.
A note attached to the tribute reads;
In loving memory of Bruce
Please help yourself to a tennis ball for your dog to enjoy. You may also wish to pop it back in the box afterwards for another dog to play with. If you wish to keep it that's fine too!
Remember to live each moment like your dog with unconditional love, loyalty and happiness.
