Wanting to remind boaties that although it is not an offence to wee in the water off the back of your boat - it is an offence of indecent exposure.
You may feel free in the Mandurah waterways but families on the shoreline or in their homes, and, other boaties don't want to see your private parts while enjoying the wonderful waterways of Mandurah with their children, grandchildren, friends and visitors - please have some respect.
Don't quote me, but I understand an indecent exposure charge may put a person on the sexual offenders list. Perhaps worth a second thought when nature is calling.
Wishing to be heard but remain anonymous as have received abuse when reminding boaties - sad but true.

Botanical garden
The natural environment in Mandurah is at a precipice. The city's subdivisions have pushed right out to our boundaries. From now on we will see an urban infill in Mandurah.
The bush on our back doorsteps is gone. Now gardens are disappearing as units and townhouses replace bungalows.
Mandurah is lacking a botanical garden. Kings Park is one of Western Australia's top tourist attractions. Why should Mandurah be limited to our foreshore?
There are currently acres of of vacant land on Peel Street which could become a fantastic urban parkland, for future generations, locals, tourists, wildlife, birds and tall trees.

Mandurah needs a change of direction
1.TOURISM - is council's main objective to boost the economy. Money spent on the foreshore is well spent but there are other ways to encourage growth. An RV friendly site is available with dump point and water close to city centre, is walking distance to main shopping and the foreshore can be seen from this location. Grey nomads would love the opportunity to stay 2-3 nights.
2. VACANT LAND - there are more than 100 lots between the train station and city centre. These lots are fully serviced - power water and close to transport. Most lots are mainly cleared with little site costs involved. First homebuyers, parking, social housing could be an option.
3. TRAIN STATION - instead of the train being used for Mandurah patrons to travel to Perth for events, we should be investing in a multi purpose stadium. There is vacant land near the station that would be ideal.
