Mathew Neary will be remembered as a family man through and through.
The Rockingham father-of-nine, with another baby on the way, was tragically killed in an alleged hit-and-run in Golden Bay on Sunday.
The 37-year-old was on his way home from a family get-together before he was found lying in the northbound lanes of Mandurah Road just north of Dampier Drive.
He had suffered significant injuries and could not be saved.

Friend of Mathew, Damien Jones, said the suddenness of the tragedy had hit hard.
"He was just walking home to see his kids and this happens. It's just so hard to deal with," he said.
Damien said Mathew will be remembered as a caring, loving father.
"The best way I can sum him up is that he was just an amazing bloke," he said.
"There was this humanity to him where he was just always there for you if you needed him. He would always pick up the pieces and even if you just needed to chat, you knew you could turn to him."
A GoFundMe page has since been set up to help ease the heavy burden now left on the young family.
It has already garnered more than $7000 in donations since being launched less than half an hour ago.
"To see the community helping out at this time, it means a lot," Damien said.
Police are still investigating Mathew's death, and urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online.
