Two Year 8 Coodanup College students Happy and Oshen applied and were accepted to be part of a nine-week program which only 20 students in Western Australia could participate in.
The program is called Cyber Saturdays and both students travel with their parents from Mandurah to Subiaco by train every Saturday to attend this special program.
The students are working through the #PICOCTF Program that provides cyber challenges and at the same time an opportunity to learn about cryptography, web exploitation, reverse engineering, and binary exploitation.
Cyber Saturdays provides young West Australians a great opportunity to build foundation cyber skills and techniques which will provide them a better understanding of the cyber security industry and the opportunities for them to engage in potential career pathways.
The program is run by AustCyber WA Innovation Hub.
