A run chase spurred on by a half century from David Melia led Baldivis to a round one win over a gallant Warnbro outfit in Saturday.
Melia piled up 53 runs to form the crux of Baldivis' score, as the White Knights eventually surpassed the Swans' total with less than five overs remaining.
Batting first, the Swans found themselves struggling when Charl Nieuwenhuis went down on nine runs.
The outlook was even more grim when star recruit Dane Ugle went down on just 19, but Kane Standing dug in to give the side hope.
His unbeaten knock of 70 was sublime, buoying Warnbro to a total 7/174 after their overs.
Peter Russell was efficient with the ball for Baldivis, finishing with 2/21 from a 10-over spell that included five maidens.
The White Knights' run chase was off to a nightmare start when opener Wesley Steele fell early, and the side was on a knife's edge at 4/52 when Willem De Klerk and Adam Bremner were dismissed consecutively.
But Melia proved much more difficult to oust, going unbeaten throughout his half century as he and Mitch Brown (29) guided Baldivis to victory finishing at 8/175.
Kaine May led the bowling for the Swans with 4/37.
