Cyclists braved the Jarrahdale circuit in the 2020 Peel Classic over the weekend, with Oli Stenning putting in a fantastic effort to claim victory in the A-grade men's.
The race kicked off with a couple of riders dropping off on the first climb, but the bunch stayed together as Patrick Saccanni-Williams and Jordan Dawson broke away on the return.
The pair stayed away for another lap with Saccanni-Williams taking the King of the Mountains prize on the second climb, before being chased down prior to the start of the final lap.
The bunch was together for the start of the final climb to the Monastery, when Stenning attacked.
A few riders managed to get to the top close to Stenning, but he kept piling on the pressure every time the road went up.
In the end Stenning rode into Jarrahdale to take the win more than a minute clear of Matt Burton in second place, who was another minute clear of the chasing bunch, which was lead home by Tim Harvey.
A-grade women also started with a few riders falling back on the first climb, but the bunch stayed together until approaching Jarrahdale for the first time, Sarah Summerscales attacked and got a small lead.
Amanda Nabi then bridged across to Summerscales and the pair just rode away from the others.
Nabi claimed the Queen of the Mountain prize, for being the first rider over the climb to the Monastery the second time as the pair just kept increasing their lead.
In the run to the line Nabi took the win, Summerscales second and Teneal Attard claimed third place.
