A group of Halls Head College marine science students enjoyed some perfect Spring weather on the last week of Term 3, getting out of the classroom for some hands-on study.
The day was spent down at the foreshore studying wind patterns and racing sailing boats which they had made in class.
Students took the information gathered back to class and will decide what was more efficient on the faster sailing boat, make alterations to their own sails and then go back down next term to do another run.
"It was lovely getting the students out in the sun for that last week of term, which was mostly perfect Spring weather," Ms Brewer from Halls Head College said..
