A Parmelia man has been slapped with a string of charges following a crime spree and a police chase through Rockingham and surrounding suburbs on Tuesday night.
Regional Operations Group officers arrested the 40-year-old after a chaotic pursuit in which he drove a stolen Honda CR-V into a police car.
Officers were patrolling the Rockingham area following reports of three burglaries (two in Shoalwater and one in Safety Bar) between 7-9.30pm.
The Honda was stolen from the first reported theft, with the driver allegedly taking police on a reckless chase through Hillman, East Rockingham, Kwinana Beach, Calista, Wellard and Leda before officers deployed a tyre deflation device.
The Honda came to a stop, but as officers also halted the driver accelerated into the side of the police car causing damage.
The car eventually came to a stop after being driven into a park off Bilya Gardens, where the driver was eventually taken into custody.
The man has been charged with reckless driving exceeding the speed limit by 45 kilometres per hour, two counts of no authority to drive, breach of bail and three counts of aggravated burglary.
He will also face charges on three counts of stealing, steal motor vehicle and drive recklessly, reckless driving to escape pursuit by police and failing to comply with a direction to stop.
He will appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court today, September 16.
