Pack your pup

The Langham Sydney hotel has recently paired with Pound Paws for a new, curated Pampered Pets Staycation package.

In addition to a luxe stay at the Langham, a special gift bag, pet afternoon tea, breakfast in bed for you and your fur-child, and three hours' pet-sitting are included.

A series of indulgent treatments can also be booked with the Pampered Pets Stylist, from celebrations and in-room photoshoots to paw-dicures and facials for pets. The staycation will set you back from $698 per night, with $20 from each booking goes to Pound Pets to support the re-homing of pets in Australian rescue centres.

Make yourself at home

In a scheme to boost Tasmania's tourism and hospitality industry, Premier Peter Gutwein has announced the Make Yourself at Home incentive for all Tasmanian residents.

Travel vouchers go towards short-term stays from Sunday to Thursday until November and experience vouchers help pay for tourism attractions and tours.

Singles can register for one $100 accommodation voucher and one $50 experience voucher; couples can claim twice the amount but the accommodation vouchers are to be used on different nights. Families can access up to two $150 accommodation vouchers to use on separate nights, as well as a $50 experience voucher for each family member, capped at three children. Residents will pay upfront for the eligible expenses and then claim the voucher value back afterwards.

The guide also provides detailed itineraries you can follow to experience the best of both coastal and country as you travel throughout the Tweed region.
