Wirra Hub is coming to Mandurah this Wednesday, August 26 to assist the Indigenous businesses sector to thrive through supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people wanting to start, grow or sustain their businesses.
Their in-house business coaches will be running a pop up hub event for the Peel community to learn more about the services offered, from 9am-2.30pm at the Peel-Harvey Catchment Council Shed, 58 Sutton Street, Mandurah.
Wirra Hub, also known as the WA Indigenous Business and Employment Hub is delivered by the Wirrpanda Foundation and inspires and empowers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to build their business capability.
Maybe you have an innovative start-up idea, or you're already operating an established business and looking for fresh opportunity.
Either way, if you're an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business owner, Wirra Hub provide a culturally safe-place to connect with expert advice, grow business capability and access new markets.
It starts with a yarn with one of their business coaches.
They will assess what stage you're at in the business life-cycle and identify the exact type of commercial advice you need right now.
Your business coach will then provide a range of Hub services - utilising the highly-experienced in-house team - to help you achieve your strategic objectives.
Targeted support for businesses includes business incubation and start up; tendering and contract execution; marketing and communications; and legal advice and services.
Wirra Hub also proudly supports the wider business community (across WA's public, private and not-for-profit sectors) to achieve their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander procurement and employment targets.
Wirra Hub will be joined by Indigenous Managed Services, Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Peel-Harvey Catchment Council and Peel Development Commission.
"The Indigenous Business and Employment Hub provides an invaluable opportunity to allow Indigenous businesses to flourish," Wirrpanda Foundation founder, David Wirrpanda said.
"It is an immense privilege for the Foundation to have a role in the empowerment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and, in turn, the community."
