Mandurah Detectives have charged three people after a series of firearm and home burglary incidents across Mandurah on April 13, 2020.
The first incident occurred at about 8pm when multiple shots were fired at a phone box in Dudley Park, at the intersection of Waterside Drive and Leslie Street.
No one was injured, however nearby residents feared for their safety.
The second incident occurred at about 8.45pm when a group of people forced their way into a residence on Steerforth Drive in Coodanup.
At the time, members of the group were armed with weapons including a firearm, a tomahawk and a golf club.
It will be alleged shots were fired inside the house and a female occupant ran from the residence in fear.
It will be further alleged a man who was visiting the residence was struck with the butt of the firearm, had rounds fired at his feet, was struck with a golf club and was stabbed with a broken golf club.
He suffered several serious injuries, including broken bones and a punctured lung.
The third incident occurred at about 10pm when a group of people forced entry to a residence in Meadow Springs, on Killarney Retreat.
At the time, members of the group were armed with weapons, including a firearm and a tomahawk.
A shot was fired inside the house and one of the residents was attacked with a baseball bat.
On June 23, Mandurah Detectives arrested a 26-year-old man from Greenfields, a 25-year-old man from Waikiki and a 32-year-old man from Langford.
The three men have each been charged with 17 serious offences:
- 2 counts of Discharged a Firearm to the Danger of or to Cause Fear to the Public
- 2 counts of Aggravated home burglary and commit
- 2 counts of Aggravated Armed Robbery
- 1 count of Deprivation of Liberty
- 1 count of Committed an act intended to cause Grievous Bodily Harm or prevent arrest in the course of an aggravated home burglary
- 3 counts of Unlawful act or omission with intent to harm (endangering life, health or safety of any person)
- 1 count of With intent to harm, did an act causing bodily harm
- 4 counts of Criminal Damage or Destruction of Property
- 1 count of Common Assault
They were refused bail and are due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on June 24.
