Mandurah is on track to fall well short of its average rainfall for the month of May, despite a stormy start to the month.
The city has recorded just 22.4 millimetres of rain across the first 15 days of May, just above a quarter of the average 86.6mm the month is accustomed to.
So far the city has received rain on just three days this month, with the barrage of stormy weather on May 8 providing half of it with 11.8mm.
A week has passed since then without another drop falling.
While there is still time to make up for the low rainfall count so far, it appears unlikely Mandurah will receive much in the coming week.
The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts cloudy skies for the next seven days, with Monday providing the best chance of a shower at a mere 30 per cent likelihood.
The lack of rain follows on from a particularly dry April for Mandurah, which produced just 8.2mm of rain, far short of the monthly average of 37.5mm.
Along with a lack of rain May has also produced some chilly temperatures for the city, with the thermometer dropping to a brisk 8.6 degrees on Sunday morning.
