The City of Mandurah and Shire of Murray's public spaces including leisure, recreation and other outdoor facilities were closed on Tuesday following new guidelines around public gatherings to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
The closures will include playgrounds, outdoor exercise equipment, community centres, skate parks and barbecue areas, with barbecues being turned off and unavailable.
Some public ablutions and drinking fountains will also be closed.
A City of Mandurah spokesperson said the measures would help protect the community from COVID-19 through social distancing.
