The continued spread of coronavirus has prompted the Peel region's local governments to review their services and implement their own policies.
The City of Mandurah and Shire of Murray both released their own defined set of guidelines earlier this week detailing changes to facilities and cancellations of events.
The move comes after both federal and state governments announced further restrictions to try and curb the spread of the disease.
The City of Mandurah has guaranteed local essential services, including waste collection and community support programs, will continue as scheduled.
Mandurah mayor Rhys Williams said the City was responding as efficiently as possible as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve.
"Obviously the impacts of the coronavirus have been felt right across our community and will be for many months ahead," he said.
"The City will continue to provide those essential services that the community relies on for day-to-day living.
"However, significant changes will be made to City's operations and programs across a number of facilities in response to government advice on infection control and social distancing."

Those changes include the closure of the Mandurah Seniors and Community Centre from Thursday and a number of modifications to services at the Mandurah and Halls Head Recreation Centres.
All netball, futsal and Man vs Fat competitions have been suspended and social distancing measures are now in place across all wet and dry areas.
The creche and children's activities, as well as pools and swim school lessons, will continue to operate but with new maximum capacity limits, while the sauna is officially closed.
The local libraries will remain open at this stage however some programs may be scaled down or cancelled depending on the continually changing advice.
Mr Williams said things could change at any time.
"The City's other community facilities may close at some stage in line with the Chief Health Officer and Department of Health's advice," he said.
"In the meantime, we've significantly downscaled the number of programs running out of these facilities and have introduced substantial infection control and social distancing mechanisms.
"Local governments have an important part to play in the state response ... to prevent the spread of the virus, protect vulnerable communities and assist with relevant support services."

Mr Williams encouraged local residents to "first and foremost, be good citizens".
"Look out for your neighbours, be there for your family, friends and colleagues, support our local businesses and play an active role in getting through this together," he said.

The Shire of Murray has also defined their response to the developing global pandemic.
Many Shire-run events and programs have been discontinued until further notice, including all library activities and a number of those at the Murray Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
The Shire has also implemented social distancing measures across its service centres, including the administration office, Murray Library, Murray Aquatic and Leisure Centre and Dwellingup History and Visitor Information Centre.
The layout of the Council Chambers gallery will be adjusted for council meetings and live streaming opportunities are being investigated to enable remote viewing.
Community members and other stakeholders are also being encouraged to conduct their business with the Shire by email or telephone and use card or other electronic payment methods.
Shire of Murray chief executive Dean Unsworth said an operational plan had been prepared to meet the needs of the situation and support the Shire's Business Continuity and Crisis Management Plan.
"All efforts are being taken to minimise the disruption of service provision to our community, especially ensuring the ongoing provision of waste collection, ranger and other key services," he said.
"The Shire continues to monitor and follow advice from the Australian and state governments and is adapting our response accordingly and as the situation develops.
"We are aware of the crippling economic effect of the virus and will continue to monitor the situation and support mitigation efforts as much as possible.

"In these uncertain times we are being encouraged to remain alert but not alarmed, sanitise our hands regularly, cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or inner elbow and avoid public places if sick - precautions necessary to ensure the health and wellbeing of our community."
