Breast cancer patients in Mandurah will have better access to a range of necessary services, after the multidisciplinary team at GenesisCare was expanded this month.
The team now includes two highly qualified and reputable breast surgeons, Saud Hamza and José Cid Fernandez.
Based out of Greenfields' new specialist cancer centre, GenesisCare, the team of specialists already included medical and radiation oncologists, dietitians, pathologists, exercise physiologists and the local McGrath breast care nurse.
Together, they have been providing a holistic approach to care for breast cancer patients in Mandurah since October.

A GenesisCare spokeswoman said the expansion was "good news" for breast cancer patients in the Peel region.
"It provides access to a greater number of specialists right in Peel and avoids the need to travel, meaning more time at home," she said.
"It's like having medical experts working together from all angles to ensure that our patients have access to the best possible treatment available.
"Essentially, everything is provided under the one roof in a supporting and caring environment."
GenesisCare is also gearing up for the launch of chemotherapy services towards the end of 2020 for patients in the Peel region.
