There's plenty happening at the Mandurah Seniors and Community Centre this year.
At a recent concert at the centre, Anne Bavin performed an entertaining "Sax and the Single Girl" with a medley of Elvis songs, including sassy jazz plus a huge variety of songs which were pleasing to the audience.
About 100 members and groups left the centre impressed with Bavin's performance.
From February to June, highlights at the centre include the St Patrick's Day lunch, an Anzac Day tribute lunch, Seniors 30th Birthday Bash and a string of other important events.
One of those will be the Food Sensations for Adults sessions to be held over four weeks from February to March.
Participants will learn to cook tasty, easy recipes and get involved in some fun nutrition activities.
Also during March Council on the Ageing (COTA) WA will present Aged Care Navigation Services information including an overview of Australia's aged care system, eligibility access to support services for people living at home and a one-on-one chat with the aged care navigator team.
The Department of Human Services will deliver advice on financial planning, downsizing and preparing for the future during May.
Meanwhile the concerts are ever popular at the centre, with a wide variety of entertainment from amazing professional artists based in WA on the first Wednesday of every month.
