A revamped Peel Cavaliers outfit will be hoping to make waves at Netball WA's 2020 Metro League competition.
Only one player from last year's squad has carried over to compete in the second installment of the tournament, with the team to be led by open division coach Anne Bowey and a contingent of the Peel Football and Netball League's top players.
"It's certainly exciting to be going around again," Bowey said.
"Our team looks extremely different from last year, but it's really pleasing for us to have players from six of the PFNL's eight clubs in the side.
"Right now we're just really excited to get going."
Alongside the open division team, the PFNL will also field and under 18s side at the competition for the first time, as they look to create a pathway for young players with WA Netball League aspirations.
"The whole aim of the Metro League competition is to bridge the gap between association level play and the WANL," Bowey said.
"A lot of teams, including Peel Lightning, will be looking to this tournament for players to fill out the remainder of their rosters before their season starts so it's an exciting opportunity for young players."
The Origin Energy Metro League will take place at the Gold Netball Centre and Perth Netball Association every Friday evening across a nine-week period.
Last year's pilot competition saw more than 50 teams taking part.
Peel kicks off their campaign this Friday night against Fremantle, 8pm.
