A crowd of thousands took to the Mandurah foreshore to soak up the annual Australia Day celebrations on Sunday morning.

Community volunteers kept the masses well fed with a traditional cooked Aussie breakfast, while a number of stalls lined the foreshore.
The formal celebrations opened with a traditional Noongar dance performance, before local Aboriginal elder George Walley gave a Welcome to Country.
Our local legends were honoured through the citizenship awards and the city also welcomed its newest Australian citizens.
