Sabreena Duffy will enter the 2020 AFL Women's season carrying high expectations.
The Peel Thunderbirds product was phenomenal in her debut season last year, making her mark as one of the competition's rising stars with a string of outstanding performances for Fremantle.
Time and again she conjured highlight plays to spark the Dockers into action, and no doubt punters will be expecting even more from the 19-year-old as she progresses through her second season.
But for Duffy, that's all just white noise.
The only thing on her mind is team success, with the Freo star adamant her side is building towards a bright future.
"We're building something special here," she said.
"This team has a strong bond, stronger than any I've ever been a part of - I feel like I have 30 sisters right now.
"I think it feels that way because we're all on the same page. Everyone is working towards the same goal and that's a premiership, everyone is pushing themselves.
"It's been a really enjoyable pre-season, but now I think everyone's just super excited because round one is so close."
The Dockers enjoyed their most successful women's season to date last year, breaking through to a preliminary final where they ultimately fell short of Carlton, missing out on a grand final berth in the process.
But that's in the past now, and Duffy is adamant this current Dockers outfit is ready to make waves.
"I think we can be a force to be reckoned with," she said.
"We have that hunger in the belly, and we're all just looking to improve as a team, so I think we can do some damage."
Before Duffy and her Freo teammates hit the ground running in round one, though, they'll head to Mandurah for a pre-season clash against the reigning champs Adelaide.
The game will be held on familiar ground for Duffy and fellow Peel teammates Katie-Jayne Grieve and Tayla Bresland.
"It's going to be great getting back on the field in Mandurah," she said.
"I've obviously played a heap of games there for Peel so be welcoming the reigning premiers there is pretty cool.
"Hopefully the game helps us build a little more team chemistry and get us primed for round one."
Fremantle's clash with the Crows will kick off at David Grays Arena on Saturday, January 25 at 4.10pm.
