South Mandurah's bowling attack stood tall in the face of a tough task when they defended a mere 106 runs to lead their side to victory over Waroona on Saturday.
Kilian Rawson (4/24), Brad Holmes (3/7) and Corey Tregenza (3/16) ripped their way through the Warriors' batting order to deliver the victory, which came despite a lacklustre batting effort from the Falcons.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Holmes was only batsman to truly fire for the side.
The opener blasted his way to 62 runs with little support, as he accounted for more than half the side's total.
Fellow opener Jacob Smith was the only other batsman to break into double figures with his 11 runs, as Waroona bowlers Keren Ugle (3/5) and Mitchell Smith (3/15) doing what they could to see the home side into a powerful position.
South Mandurah was eventually ousted in 106 runs after 37 overs.
But what seemed a simple chase for the Warriors proved otherwise, as Rawson dismantled their top order.
Waroona's opening three batsman all fell victim to the Falcon, with Dan Abel (12), Mat Thomas (2) and Jayden Derosa (6) unable to get motoring.
An admirable 17 runs from Keren Ugle couldn't bring the Warriors within a sniff, with seven of their batsmen falling for two runs or less as they were all out on 64 after 29 overs.
The win is South Mandurah's fourth on the season, and has them sitting in sixth on the ladder well in the hunt for a top four spot.
Singleton hands Pinjarra first loss of the season
Pinjarra was dealt their first loss of the season as Ian Bowes led Singleton to a much-needed win in round nine.
Batting first, the Irwinians received a steady flow of runs with Bryce Evans (21), Tim Hutchison (36) and Mitchell Shellam (20) helping the cause, but it was Bowes conjuring an unbeaten 50 runs late in the piece that really spurred the side onto their total of 200.
The undefeated Tigers weren't able to match that firepower, with Chris Loveridge (2/18) claiming top-order batsmen Jamie Lee (1) and Josh Smith (8).
Pinjarra soon found themselves at 7/49 and were unable to recover, going all out for 72 in 26.1 overs.
The win moves Singleton back within striking distance of the top four.
O'Donnell stars as Seals cruise past Mandurah
Chris O'Donnell's outstanding knock of 84 led Shoalwater Bay to a second straight win.
The opening batsman took just 73 deliveries to blast out his total, helping Shoalwater surpass their guests with little fuss.
Mandurah looked off to a hot start with Brendan Okey (23) and Jack Searle (23) posting an opening stand of 49 runs, but Damien Stanley's 4/18 bowling figures helped minimise the damage as the visitors ended their innings with just 131 runs.
From there O'Donnell found the boundary rope 16 times on his way to 84 runs, a knock that would carry the Seals past the required total in less than 23 overs.
The victory keeps Shoalwater Bay in fourth spot, while Mandurah slump to eighth.
Phelps, Starbuck see Halls Head power past Swans
Chris Phelps (73 not out) and Lewis Starbuck (5/11) led Halls Head to a powerhouse win over Warnbro at Peelwood Reserve on Saturday.
The home side started strong with Levi Muller (43) and Josh Rudge (45) carving out a strong opening stand, but it was Phelps shining brightest with the bat as he rapidly made his way to an unbeaten 73 runs from 56 balls.
His efforts helped Halls Head post 6/261 despite some strong bowling from Jake Cassidy (3/35), a total the Swans would find impossible to match with Starbuck in excellent form.
The Halls Head bowler collected five wickets on the day, tearing through the Warnbro line-up to see them ousted on just 82 runs, well shy of the target.
