It is the most famous singing competition throughout the world and now, audiences in Mandurah will be able to experience the talent that is Eurovision - almost.
Primadonna Productions will bring Song Contest - The Almost Eurovision Experience to life in 2020 with something for everyone.
A glitzy and comedic tribute to the real deal, it will be perhaps as close as you can get in the southern hemisphere.
Whether you are a hard and fast Eurovision fan, a novice or even a hater, the quirky show will not fail to entertain.
Written by Glynn Nicholas and accompanied by music from Daniel and Gideon Frankel, the show is set at the Eurovision final in Minsk, Belarus.
A cross between a musical, comedy, concert and sporting event, 11 countries will compete with a range of contestants, gushing hostess and former astronaut-turned-performer, Bettina Bitjakokov, and all the fun to make you delight and cringe all at once.
Every audience member is allocated one of the 11 countries to be a part for the night and will be in charge of the voting, which means a different winner could be picked at each show.
Primadonna Productions, in community partnership with the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, promises a delightfully different visit to the theatre with this interactive experience.
Song Contest - The Almost Eurovision Experience will take to the stage at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre at 8pm on March 6 and 7 with matinee shows at 2pm on March 7 and 8.
The 2.5 hour show recommends parental guidance and audiences are encouraged to come dressed up to the nines.
