Eight Mandurah-based en plein air artists will exhibit the works they crafted from a trip to the picturesque South Island of New Zealand in Dwellingup next month.

The group, consisting of Aiveen O'Donovan, Ashley Hay, Barb Thoms, Carol Hazel, Corrine Rapley, Deanne Milburn, Fran Bannister and Lynn Kennedy, discovered a place of outstanding beauty on their trip, enjoying daily paint outs fringed by magnificent mountains, waterfalls, wineries and even a fragrant lavender farm.

They also met up and painted with the local Wanaka art group.

The exhibition is being held at the Lost Eden Creative gallery in Dwellingup from November 30 to December 29, with the official opening on December 7 at 2pm.

There will be a mixed media canvas workshop on Saturday, December 14 and free public paint outs on December 8 and 10 at the gallery.
