A 22-year-old former Mandurah region childcare worker has been charged with sexually penetrating a child aged over 13 and under 16.
The man has not yet entered a plea to the charge and is due to reappear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court on December 3.
The man's picture is still on his former employer's website alongside other childcare workers, despite the manager telling the Mandurah Mail he no longer worked for the organisation.
She said she was aware of the charges levelled against her former employee, but they were not related to his conduct at the organisation.
The manager said there were "various reasons" why he no longer worked for the organisation.
The man's Facebook profile said he was currently a "manager" and "senior educator" at a childcare centre, a former childcare assistant and a former children supervisor.
The man and his former employer can not be named for legal reasons.
