If you are in the Peel region this weekend, there is plenty on to keep the whole family entertained!
From Halloween themed events to a rodeo that promises exciting action and the launch of the bigger and better Mandurah Arts Festival - we've collated an outline of what your weekend around town could look like.
Saturday, November 2
Day of the Dead Festival
- Where: Oceanic Bar and Grill
- When: All weekend
Head down to OBG throughout the entire weekend for massive celebrations of Day of the Dead!
There will be more than 20 different types of tequila to choose from, as well as fish bowl margaritas and cocktails to enjoy.
As for entertainment, the event will feature performances by Muchos Mariachi, Bomba Latin and Juliana Areias, a psychic and tarot card reader and a skull face painter on hand.
And, of course, there will be plenty on offer to eat from tacos to fajitas, nachos and more. For those with a strong heart (and stomach), there will be nacho and a chilli eating competition with prizes up for grabs!

Boddington Rodeo
- Where: Boddington Rodeo Grounds, Hakea Road Boddington
- When: Heats from 9am, main event from 1pm
The largest rodeo in Western Australia, the Boddington Rodeo, is back again for 2019 and has something in store for everyone. Since its inception in 1976, the Boddington Lion's Club has successfully run the Rodeo on the first Saturday in November every year.
Watch the state's best shearers in action, check out the Boddington arts and crafts exhibition, enjoy donuts and hamburgers among many other delicious treats and dance along to thigh-slapping entertainment from country and western singers.

Halloween Parties

There are a tonne of places to celebrate the spooky season this weekend with Mandurah venues turning it up a level for Halloween.
Bar Therapy will provide the booze, if you bring the boo's! Serving deliciously themed cocktails and food from 6.45pm and with a DJ playing bangers all night, it is sure to be a scary Halloween delight! Check out the Facebook event page for more information.
Brighton Hotel will set the fear factor to high with their Halloween party from 8pm. There will be $10 cocktail specials and a DJ as well as a prizes for the best, and scariest, dressed on the night. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.
There will be a Costumes and Cocktails party from 6pm at the Bridge Garden Bar with spooky specials and entertainment from Kelly J McMahen. Dress up if you dare to go in the running for a best dressed prize. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.
There's no escaping the inmates at Murphy's Irish Pub's Haunted Jailhouse Halloween Party. While clowns are not welcome in the prison, costumes are encouraged and those dressed up can skip the line and have the chance to be trick or treated to a free drink voucher. Screamfest

Screamfest is back for Halloween 2019 with plenty of spooky fun for the whole family. Will you be brave enough to enter the Chuckles the Clown's 3D Horror Maze, full of gory and gruesome surprises?
As part of your ticket, enjoy four hours of unlimited rides, glow in the dark mini golf, entry into Chuckles' lair, a trick or treat trail with heaps of lollies, scary face painting, scars and special FX makeup, live music, photo booths and food and drinks.
Before the festival starts, there will a Zombie Walk with the Day of the Dead marching band from the Eastern Foreshore at 5.30pm, in an effort to break the WA record for largest Zombie Walk.

Mandurah Arts Festival launch

After almost 20 years as the iconic Stretch Arts Festival, the event has had a makeover of epic and exciting proportions and now sports a new name, jam-packed program and warmer time of year.
The Mandurah Arts Festival will launch on Saturday and run over the first three weekends of November, with plenty of awesome activities to take part in all across the city.
Head down to Hall Park for the launch of the festival with the 'Faces of Mandurah' photographic portrait exhibition displayed on Mandurah Bridge and a Food Truck Frenzy that promises something for everyone.

Sunday, November 3
Beach Clean-up
- Where: Town Beach
- When: 9-11am
The City of Mandurah junior council has teamed up with the Coastal Waste Warriors to run a beach clean-up community event and show the local natural environment the respect it deserves.
The public are welcome to join in and pick up discarded rubbish and plastics to protect the ocean. Bring a hat, sunscreen, reusable water bottle and gloves. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.
MyPark Grooves

MyPark Grooves is back for another series of events this November to encourage families, friends and neighbours to get together in the great outdoors.
