Dami Im is set to delight Mandurah audiences with her mesmerising vocals and incredible piano talent when she takes to the stage at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on November 15, as part of her Dreamer tour.
No stranger to the stage, the classically trained musician was catapulted to national prominence when she won X Factor in 2013 before walking straight into a number one spot on the ARIA charts.
Since then, her career has included the release of more acclaimed studio albums, sold out tours and a guest position on Human Nature's A Little More Love: A 30 Year Celebration Tour.
And who could forget her spine-tingling performance of Sound of Silence in front of an international audience of more than 200 million that led her to claim second place for Australia at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest?
The singer-songwriter embarked on the Dreamer solo tour in August, following the release of the Live Sessions EP featuring live recordings of her biggest hits.
In an interview with the Mandurah Mail, Im said she was excited to finish up her tour in Western Australia.
"This is the first show where I've been singing mostly my own material and not so many covers as I have done over the years," she said.
"It's great because I really get to show people the evolution of me as an artist, which has been fun for me.
"We've been touring since August, with Mandurah to be the second last show of the whole tour, but it's been quite amazing to see the great reception and feel the warm welcome."
Fans can expect to be captivated with an up close and personal experience at the show, as well as all her hits and X Factor favourites from Super Love to Gladiator and Alive.
"There will also be a few new ones that I have released but haven't played live before," she said.
"The last time I came to WA to do my own concert was in 2016 so it's been three years and I'm excited to come back and catch up with everyone but this is my first time playing in Mandurah."
The much-loved Aussie songstress said she loved performing her songs live and making a connection with everyone in the audience.
"It still really amazes me how these songs, which are personal to me, become experiences for other people - everybody has different memories associated to them and I love hearing that feedback," she said.
When I perform live, I can see the expressions in their faces and see what it means to them and that is such a privilege - I don't think I'll ever get used to that.
"I've always wanted to sing and have a career in singing since I was a teenage girl but I never expected to be here. I'm grateful that things have worked out so great and I have fans that still come to my shows and listen to my music."
