Mandurah's beach volleyball stars head to Queensland for national titles

Mandurah's top beach volleyball players have represented Western Australia at a national competition in Queensland.

The Indoor Beach Volleyball National Titles were held in Brendale on September 20-22, with the best players from across the country descending on the Bio Beach Volleyball Centre.

Mandurah sent six teams to represent the state in the mixed, junior mens, over 35 ladies and over 35 mens divisions.

The sides were selected from the Mandurah Beach Volleyball Club - Mandurah Stingrays, with all of the local teams excelling at the competition.

With plenty of skill, sportsmanship and determination on show, the Men's Masters team came in second in their division.

The mixed, juniors and ladies teams all finished in the finals, with the Queensland teams dominating affairs.

The club thanked Mandurah Indoor Sportz and Franklin Offshore Pty Ltd for their support.

The State Super League Series is set to start on October 26, with Mandurah having six teams ready to compete.
