The reaction to Australian Community Media's first West Australian podcast has been overwhelmingly positive, with the track reaching second place in the prestigious Apple Podcast 'top track' Australia-wide list.
Annette: Cold Case Unlocked is a four-part podcast series exploring the mysterious death of Mandurah teenager Annette Deverell and the dark secrets and suspicions that have haunted the community for decades.
Mandurah Mail journalist Carla Hildebrandt speaks with family, friends and investigators to shine a light on a four-decade old mystery that has been ignored for too long.
The first episode in the series, Skeleton in the Forest, was released on Wednesday September 11.
The track has been played more than 9000 times in less than a week, mostly by Australian listeners, but with a handful also from the United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand and Indonesia.
Already, the Mail has received messages from people with information they have never passed on.

These people said they had also reported the new information to Crime Stoppers and the Mandurah police station.
Many people have written to Mandurah Mail to express their support for the podcast and their hope that police will review the case.

The Mail is also calling on anyone with information to come forward and help police solve the mystery, as well as joining Annette's mother Margaret Carver in asking for a reward to be offered and a coronial inquest to be held.
