Nine hopefuls have thrown their hats in the ring as the Shire of Murray council elections approach next month.
Local government elections across Western Australia are scheduled for October 19, with the nomination period now closed.
Current Shire president David Bolt and deputy Steve Lee have both renominated as their current terms come to an end.
Councillors Casey Rose and Ange Rogers are both up for re-election also.
Community members Stuart Kirkham, Chris Thompson, David Pike, Tom Quirk and Colleen Warr have all nominated.
There are five vacancies available, with four to receive four-year terms and one to receive a two-year term.
As the election gets closer, Mandurah Mail will profile all nine candidates to help you make your voting choice.
