A talented Lakelands barista has earned the title of Western Australia's best after taking out the top honour in The Coffee Club's annual competition.
Wasana Unnithan, better known as Nin, was named the best barista in the state out of the 38 Coffee Club stores in WA.
She will now go head-to-head against baristas from all around Australia at the national finals in Brisbane.
Nin said she had improved from last year when she was judged third in all of WA.
"I am just so happy to be at the cafe every day doing something I simply love," she said.
"It gives me great pleasure to make someone's morning with a great coffee and I have so many wonderful and loyal customers.
"I am very excited to be able to represent the store and the state in Brisbane."
The barista craft is well-known for being relatively complex with the competition considering a number of judging criteria including coffee extraction routine and times, milk routine, latte art and visual appearance, taste balance, temperature, preparation times and work station management.
Of course, those customers that visit the Lakelands cafe already know Nin is a terrific barista that makes excellent coffee and is deserving of the recent award.

The Coffee Club franchisees Gino and Sandra Cafini said they were proud of Nin's achievements to date and wished her the best in Brisbane.
"Nin has had many years' experience as a quality barista and was a founding member of the team at our Lakelands Cafe," they said.
"Nin was a highly skilled barista when we first met her and, through The Coffee Club's ongoing Barista Training and Excellent Coffee Academy, Nin has been able to hone and enhance her skills as a leading barista.
"Of course, those customers that visit the Lakelands cafe already know Nin is a terrific barista that makes excellent coffee and is deserving of the recent award."
With almost 300 Coffee Club stores throughout Australia, Nin will compete in Brisbane against the country's best on September 17 and 18.
The grand final will be held at the Coffee Club's first store at Eagle St Pier on the day it celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The winner of the National Barista Championship will go on to represent Australia at The Coffee Club's International Barista Championship on the Sunshine Coast in October.
