Western Australia's biggest wood chop and country fair is gearing up for another massive event on Sunday, October 6.
The Jarrahdale 1500 Log Chop and Serpentine Jarrahdale Lions Country Fair is one of the most anticipated community events on the social calendar.
The Log Chop, organised by the Jarrahdale and Central Districts Axemen's Association, is a traditional axemen's competition and has seen an annual gathering of axemen for more than 40 years, attracting many national and international axemen to showcase their log cutting skills.
Hosted at Jarrahdale Oval on Millars Road, the family friendly and free event will get underway from 10am and run until 4.30pm.
The fair will feature more than 70 stalls including markets selling small goods, local produce and food and displays of agriculture.
There will be demonstrations by local groups, rides and attractions for children, a licensed bar and musical entertainment making it an affordable and fun day out for all ages.
The event is supported by Lotterywest, SJ Shire, Alcoa, MZI and Bendigo Bank funding.
There be a free shuttle bus service from the car parking areas to the event throughout the day.
