Local sporting coaches will have the chance to soak up some elite knowledge when WA great Ric Charlesworth hits town for a workshop next week.
Hosted by the Peel Regional Academy of Sport, the seminar is a fit for coaches of all sports and levels and will see key speaker Charlesworth offering tips and insight on how to get the most out of your ability as a coach.
Charlesworth's resume in sport is nothing short of outstanding.
In a showing of the versatility that served him so well as a coach, he managed 47 games of cricket for Western Australia, played football at the WAFL level for West Perth and was selected to represent Australia at five Olympic Games in hockey.
He went on to coach the Hockeyroos for seven years, and the Kookaburras for five.
Outside of his sporting exploits, Charlesworth also served as the Federal Member for Perth from 1983-1993.
The hour-long workshop is free of charge will be held at Rushton Park next Wednesday, August 21, kicking off at 6.30pm.
