Mandurah residents are in for a colourful experience this weekend at the annual Fantasy of Flowers Exhibition.
The local event is Western Australia's premier floral art competition, with Mandurah MP David Templeman to conduct the official opening and present prizes.
Visitors and competitors are set to enjoy spectacular floral creations produced with originality and innovation.
Some of the exhibitors are experts in their field and have proven themselves on the world stage.
Group member Colleen Bonner said the exhibition would be something special.
"Our community has taken to this amazing spectacle with enthusiasm," she said.
"Thousands of visitors come to our state each year to see our unique flowers in bloom.
"Our ambitious florists and floral artists enjoy the challenge of presenting our unique wild flowers to the world in a wide variety of arrangements. The exhibition proudly shows our rare natural bush heritage mingling with the cultivated and exotic flowers."
The exhibition will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on Ormsby Terrace.
Entry costs $2 per person, with children able to attend for free.
